Really tasty meal. Mixes traditional fish and chips with more restaurant quality dishes. I had pan fried skate wings with capers and cherry tomatoes which was excellent. 3 course set menu was very good value.
It's so nice to have fresh fish fried for you while you wait. This fish is so much better than any of the other chip shops in ware!! But it is a bit more expensive. As the saying goes you get what you pay for.
really bad tasting food. My cod was barely cooked. The batter watery. Mushy peas were mushy but didn't seem to contain any pea as they were utterly tasteless. My wife had some kind of burnt dry chicken with a cheap sauce on it that was labelled chinese but nothing of the sort. My son's fish fingers over-cooked yet the best thing we had. For food this bad the prices are outrageous. That the last 'local guide' reviewed this place so highly is laughable. Best fish and chips she's ever eaten? What? Grim. Avoid.
